The Evolution: Mature, Versatile, and Intentional
How would you describe your sound today compared to when you first started making music?
“My sound has definitely evolved. When I first started, I was more focused on experimenting and finding my place in the industry. Today, I have a better understanding of who I am as an artist and the kind of music I want to make. My sound is more mature, versatile, and intentional, but I still carry that same Nigerian Afrobeat vibe and originality that people connected with from the beginning. For me, it’s not just about making hits anymore; it’s about telling my story, expressing my experiences, and creating music that people can connect with on a deeper level. I’m still evolving tho.”
The Creative Process: Organic & Story-Driven
What does your process look like when building a new track from scratch?
“My creative process starts with a feeling, an experience, or a melody. Sometimes the beat inspires me, other times, I have a story to tell. I like to keep things natural, experiment with sounds, and let the music flow until everything connects. And I make sure I’m very intentional about it.”
The Latest Release: Finding Strength in "3FA"
What inspired your most recent project, and what key message do you want listeners to take away from it?
“My latest release, ‘3FA’, is deeply connected to my personal journey and the challenges I’ve faced along the way. I wrote it as a reminder that even in the hardest moments, we can keep believing, keep praying, and keep moving forward. My hope is that the song brings listeners comfort and encouragement, reminding them never to give up on themselves or their faith in God.”
African Culture: Carrying the Roots Globally
What does being part of the global movement of African music mean to you personally?
“Being part of the global movement of African music means so much to me because I’m representing my roots, my culture, and where I come from. It’s inspiring to see African music bringing people together around the world, and I’m proud to contribute to that movement through my sound. For me, it’s about sharing our culture with the world while remaining true to who I am as an artist.”
Lessons Learned: Resilience, Patience, and Self-Worth
What’s the biggest lesson the music industry has taught you so far?
“The biggest lesson the music industry has taught me is patience, resilience, and the importance of knowing your worth. Success doesn’t happen overnight, and every experience, good or bad, teaches you something. I’ve learned to trust God’s timing, protect my creativity, and never lose myself in the process. No matter the setbacks, you have to keep believing in yourself and stay focused on your journey.”
What’s Next: The Upcoming Album & Stellar Collaborations
What exciting projects, collaborations, or performances can fans expect from you soon?
“Fans can expect a lot of exciting things from me, especially my upcoming album, which I’ll be dropping soon. I’ve teamed up with some amazing producers, including Ozedikus, Dawie, and Dela Cream, just to name a few. The project also features solid collaborations with Bad Boy Timz, T Classic, Hyce, Damo K, Dagiza, and Tia. I’ve put a lot of work, creativity, and personal experiences into this project, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it. This is another exciting chapter for me.”
